Failure to Suppress?

I think I'm heading for a canceled cycle. I had another ultrasound and blood test this morning. I am still not suppressed. My doctor is out until Wednesday, so the coordinator scheduled me for another ultrasound and blood test on Thursday. She suggested that if I don't achieve suppression by then, that the doctor is likely to call this cycle a bust and start over.

I'm pretty annoyed by this news. However, I'd like to avoid falling into a vat of ice cream and pizza as a coping method. So, I'm trying to achieve some perspective here. Not very successful so far.

  2. Oh Amy, I'm so sorry. How frustrating, especially after all of the shots and emotional ups and downs you've been through with this cycle. I hope you get better news on Thursday, but if not, I hope they at least have answers and a plan for you moving forward.

You mentioned in your last post that your SIL's cycle was a success. I'm sure that is difficult for you, so just wanted to send you an extra hug. I hope, hope, hope that you will be close behind and you can enjoy this time together.

    Hang in there.

  4. I'm so sorry. That sucks. Hopefully your doctor will be able to give you some idea of why this is happening and how to adjust for it. In the mean time, I think you need a massage. Take care of yourself.
    Hugs,

  5. Hi Amy,
Here's the site for the meditation CD. http://www.anjionline.com/SupportandControlforyourIVFCycle.php
I downloaded it instead of actually ordering a CD. You get four MP3 files that correspond to the different points in your cycle. I've only listened to the first one. Well, I only remember the first few minutes and the last minute or so. I don't know if I fall asleep or just zone out or what, but it's relaxing.
    Good luck, hun!
